Effect of Amine Type on Lignin Modification to Evaluate Its Reactivity in Polyol Construction for Non-Isocyanate Polyurethanes (NIPU)

Polyols are groups of organic compounds which contain carbon and randomly linked to other atoms, especially carbon-carbon carbon-hydrogen. These mainly used as reactants make polymers. Among biopolymers, lignin is regarded the base a new polymer in polyol construction. The present study aimed investigate effects amine type (diethylenetriamine ethylenediamine) on modification lignin-based polyols, so provide an alternative petroleum polyols and, turn, increase functional reduce their harm humans’ health environment. To this aim, first, was extracted from raw liquor. Next, reacted with diethylenetriamine (DETA) ethylenediamine (EDA). Finally, Mannich method for reaction between propylene carbonate. results Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy analysis showed that DETA led more structural change peak 1100 indicates presence C–O bond related urethane bonds modified lignin. Moreover, adding carbonate aminated did not result much FTIR analysis. Additionally, can be seen GPC at 400°C–500°C. Furthermore, slight decrease thermal stability observed carbonate, compared sample.
